About The Position
The Lead Clinical Lab Scientist assists the laboratory manager/director in managing assigned laboratory department(s), staff, and day-to-day operations. The role includes supporting process improvement and technical procedure revision, coordinating staff scheduling and interview processes, conducting staff performance reviews, coaching and training employees, developing and assessing competency, addressing employee relations issues, ensuring department and policy/regulatory compliance, and supporting Quality Assurance/Improvement.
Responsibilities
- Assist the laboratory manager/director with management of assigned laboratory departments, staff, and daily operations.
- Support process improvement and revise technical procedures.
- Coordinate staff scheduling and participate in the interview process.
- Conduct staff performance reviews, coach and train staff, and develop and assess competency.
- Address employee relations issues.
- Ensure department compliance and policy and regulatory compliance.
- Support Quality Assurance/Improvement.
