About The Position

Nevada Fertility Center is looking for a full-time, Lead Andrologist and Endocrine Technologist at our Las Vegas location. We are looking for someone who would love to be part of an amazing team that helps people achieve their dreams of having a baby! Under the direct supervision of the laboratory supervisor; the Lead Andrologist and Endocrine Tech is responsible for the performance of various Andrology and Endocrine Assay laboratory procedures, quality control activities, and cryogenic specimen management. The position also serves as the technical lead for the center's Andrology, Endocrine Assay, Cryopreservation, Donor Tissue, and Specimen Logistics programs while providing administrative support to the Embryology laboratory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Biological Sciences, Laboratory Technology).
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a laboratory or clinical setting, with a focus on cryogenic management or reproductive medicine.
  • Strong knowledge of cryogenic equipment, storage techniques, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Must have manual dexterity level sufficient to perform minute and precise laboratory procedures quickly and efficiently
  • Must be able to type or otherwise demonstrate proficiency with computer keyboard
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Must be able to speak and write English clearly and fluently
  • Must be able to work effectively with electronic and mechanical instruments as well as working with a number of potentially hazardous fluids and human tissues

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine and specialized andrology procedures including semen analysis, sperm preparation for IUI and IVF, sperm cryopreservation, thawing, and post-thaw analysis.
  • Performs endocrine assay testing using automated laboratory instrumentation.
  • Coordinates cryogenic specimen storage, performs inventory audits and cryopreserved specimen inventory management, donor tissue logistics, and specimen shipping.
  • Assists with laboratory quality improvement initiatives, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance.
  • May assist in preparing media for all IVF procedures.
  • Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies, media, cryogenic materials, and consumables.
  • Performs/maintains and reviews quality controls, instruments checks and preventive maintenance in the laboratories.
  • Ensures/maintains an adequate supplies of sterile instruments, plastic wares, glass wares, Pasteur pipettes, cryostorage devices, media, and all other disposables
  • Trains, mentors, and provides technical support to junior laboratory personnel.
  • Performs procedures per established laboratory standards
  • Provides administrative support to the Embryology laboratory, including database management, report review, data entry, and documentation.
  • Maintains complete and accurate records
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Communicates unusual or unexpected results or problems to the laboratory supervisor
  • Establishes and maintains positive communications with co-workers, supervisor, physicians and patients to promote a spirit of teamwork and cooperation in providing quality healthcare and to ensure achievement of the departmental goals
  • Implements and maintains appropriate Laboratory safety procedures and practices
  • Maintains a neat and well-organized laboratory for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • In putting data/results in the Computer and EMR system
  • Other duties as assigned
