About The Position

The Lead Cleaner ensures facility operations follow policies and procedures and coordinates daily work by assigning tasks and providing guidance. The role provides supervision at an assigned location when the Manager is absent and demonstrates established standards for keeping buildings and facilities clean and safe for workers and customers. The position involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and performing general janitorial duties as needed. The Lead Cleaner oversees cleaning operations and service requests, supports team members, helps prepare work schedules, and monitors job quality and completion. The role also includes training new hires, validating time records, managing property keys and access cards, and checking supplies, equipment, and chemicals.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

One year of similar work experience.
One year of customer service experience.
One year of lead or supervisory experience.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Follow assigned work schedules and route cards, and report barriers.
Provide leadership and direction to team members.
Maintain open communication between field employees and management, and monitor and document client communications.
Assist with preparing daily and weekly work schedules.
Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building.
Take care of property keys and access cards.
Report damaged, broken, or nonfunctional features and items.
Oversee and perform additional service requests (tag jobs) in the assigned building.
Oversee job quality and confirm completion with the Area Manager.
Train new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
Obtain any additional certifications or training needed for the site type.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
