About The Position

The Lead Cleaner ensures facility operations follow established policies and procedures and coordinates daily work by assigning tasks and guiding team members. The Lead provides supervision at an assigned location when the Manager is absent and models cleaning and safety standards for the facility. The position also involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and assisting with general janitorial duties as needed. The available schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay is $18.81 per hour; the actual offer may vary based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data. This role may suit someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience or education. ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

One year of similar work experience.
One year of janitorial or custodial experience.
One year of lead or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Complete any additional certifications or training required by the site type.
Follow assigned work schedules and route cards, and report barriers.
Provide leadership and direction to team members.
Maintain open communication between field employees and management, and monitor and document client communications.
Assist with creating daily and weekly work schedules.
Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building.
Care for keys and access cards for the property.
Report damaged, broken, or out-of-service features and items.
Oversee and perform additional service requests (tag jobs) in the assigned building.
Oversee job quality and confirm completion with the Area Manager.
Train new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
