About The Position

The Lead Claims Advocate in this role is directly responsible for providing the client with white glove claims service throughout the claims process, maintaining an active diary, transmittal of documentation, follow-up calls, and emails to the client and carrier. Your Impact: Receive new losses from clients and producers and provide guidance to ensure appropriate steps are taken to mitigate damages and comply with policy terms, preserving the insured's rights. Report and/or ensure that the claims are filed under the appropriate policy. Review claim circumstances and applicable coverage and communicate preliminary coverage opinions to clients. Acknowledge receipt of claim to client in writing and request all documents necessary to move forward and properly advocate on client's behalf. Maintain accurate claim files and documentation in accordance with department standards and procedures. Handle to conclusion insurance claims presented by clients and/or as assigned by Claims Team Leader. Assist client in assembling and submitting their claim to the carrier. Attend on-site loss inspections when necessary. Field client questions and complaints and act as mediator with the carrier when necessary. Provide information for adjusters and other company personnel as requested. Provide insured with interim and final settlement information. Review lawsuits submitted by clients prior to filing with carriers. Pursue programs for personal and professional development. Handle Account Executive inquiries, provide information and internal loss runs when necessary.

Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years of hands-on multi-line claims handling experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Property & Casualty coverage
  • Extensive knowledge of multi-line coverage (i.e.: workers’ compensation, property, auto, general liability and professional lines) and how coverage applies to different losses.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Ability to provide superior customer service.
  • Valid P&C Broker or Adjuster’s license.

  • Brokerage experience preferred.

Benefits

  • Pay Range: $90,000 - $130,000 Annual
