About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Lead Certified Veterinary Technician to join our clinic and help take patient care, team leadership, and clinic culture to the next level. This role is for someone who is obsessed with high-quality medicine, loves leading a team, and wants to make a real impact in veterinary care. The ideal candidate can run a treatment floor, support their team, educate clients, and maintain a positive attitude during busy periods. This is not a "basic tech" role; it involves advanced patient care, leadership, training, surgery, client communication, and ensuring smooth clinic operations while upholding top-tier medical standards.

Requirements

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
  • Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technician program
  • VTNE completed and active credentials required
  • Previous veterinary experience required
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
  • Passion for mentorship, teamwork, and patient advocacy

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership or management experience strongly preferred
  • Interest or experience in surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, rehab, acupuncture, or laser therapy is a huge plus
  • Love mentoring newer team members

Responsibilities

  • Leading and supporting the technician team throughout daily clinic operations
  • Working with the practice manager to ensure the technician team is running smoothly
  • Mentoring and training newer technicians and assistants
  • Helping create efficient workflows and maintaining positive team culture
  • Assisting veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, surgery and treatment plans
  • Monitoring anesthesia and surgical patients
  • Performing blood draws, IV catheter placement, radiographs, lab work, dental procedures and nursing care
  • Managing hospitalized and critical care patients
  • Educating pet parents and making sure they feel informed and supported
  • Helping maintain inventory, treatment protocols, and medical standards
  • Advocating for both patients and the team
