About The Position

Position Purpose: Collaborates with the surgical team in the Lead Certified Surgical Technologist role under the direct supervision of a qualified Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist Program
- Certified Surgical Technologist Certification required.
- CPR Certification required
- Must possess manual dexterity, be able to plan and organize work, communicate effectively, apply basic technique to numerous situations.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum three years' experience in Specialty area preferred.
Responsibilities
- Directs and controls equipment/ materials required for patient care.
- Under the supervision of the registered nurse, the Lead Certified Surgical Technologist assists the surgeon as a scrub technician according to department standards.
- Demonstrates leadership accountability focusing on quality and safety
- Interfaces with other Perioperative leadership staff to coordinate daily needs of the unit.
- Participates in own performance appraisal as evidenced by reviewing attainment of professional, divisional and departmental goals and identifying new goals for achievement, on a yearly basis.
