About The Position

Leads all sterile processing techs in day-to-day functions of SPD. Assembling, wrapping, packaging and sterilization of all reusable items in the Medical Center. Accurately prepares all case carts for Surgery in a timely manner. Responsible for ensuring that the standards for AAMI/CMS are maintained to keep patient safe. Works to improve process and throughput. Works under the direction of Sterile Processing Manager and Surgical Services Director.

Requirements

• High School Diploma - required
• CRCST or CSPD certified- required within six (6) months of hire date
• Minimum one (1) years of experience as a sterile processing tech or surgical tech- required
• Competent in all areas of SPD, as determined by manager/director- required
