About The Position

As a seasoned C.N.A. with at least 5 years of experience, the primary purpose of this position is to guide the C.N.A. team to ensure care is delivered in a timely and appropriate manner. This includes providing input on assignments and scheduling, including breaks and lunches. The Lead CNA acts as a liaison between C.N.A.s and the nursing management team and collaborates with nursing staff to ensure care cards accurately reflect resident needs. The Lead CNA also assists residents with activities of daily living and advocates for resident choice, independence, privacy, dignity, and security. This role supports maintaining and improving each resident’s quality of life to the highest functional level, while ensuring all care is provided in accordance with federal and state regulations and the Continuing Care Center’s policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Current NY State C.N.A. Certification with no abuse convictions
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities
