About The Position

This is a Full Time Regular position at ARC-CHARLOTTE STORE 5 in Kannapolis, NC. The role involves assisting management with store operations, including openings and closings, training personnel, and handling customer service and donations. The Lead Cashier is responsible for operating the cash register, managing cash, preparing bank deposits, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the store and its merchandise.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Experience working in a retail store preferred
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid State Driver License, preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist management with store openings and closings in accordance with established procedures on a regular basis.
• Assist management in training store personnel.
• Operate and maintain a cash register; collect monies, count change, and prepare receipts; balance the cash register drawer and print routine register print-outs; prepare and deliver bank deposits.
• Respond to customers questions and assist customers who are donating items.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of merchandise and displays.
• Maintain the neatness and security of the cash register area; secure merchandise and the cash register.
• Clean display racks and shelves; sweep and mop floors; cleans windows, mirrors, and helps maintain overall cleanliness of store.
• Answer the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner.
