The Lead Cashier is accountable for cash and electronic transactions. This role involves overseeing all cashiers to ensure work is completed appropriately, accepting accountability for all cash transactions, and assuring all transactions are accounted for correctly. The Lead Cashier will also train new associates on Point of Sale (POS) systems, count down cash drawers with the previous shift lead present to ensure accurate counts and reporting, and check in with cashiers at least once an hour for drops and change needs. Additionally, the role includes providing customer service and information to patrons, preparing for the next shift, conducting money audits, performing supply checks, and verifying that cashiers have all needed paperwork. The Lead Cashier is responsible for ensuring quality service, customer satisfaction, clean facility areas, and a safe work environment.
