About The Position

The Lead Case Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for organizing, monitoring, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services within the GGCRN Street Outreach program. This position bridges administrative oversight with field-based intervention to reduce gun violence and promote healing in the Greater Grand Crossing community. The Lead Case Manager provides critical supervision and technical support to the Outreach Worker (OW) team, ensuring all data, interventions, and case management activities align with mandated deliverables and trauma-informed best practices.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License: Must possess and maintain an Illinois driver's license in good standing.
  • Reliable Vehicle: Possession of a working insured personal vehicle is mandatory for field-based work and emergency response.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of experience in street outreach or violence prevention.
  • Software Skills: High proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel is required for tracking statistics and reporting.
  • Crisis Intervention: Ability to utilize restorative justice and mediation techniques in high-pressure, high-risk environments.
  • Trauma-Informed Care: Ability to provide trauma-informed support to victims, families, and staff members (Outreach Workers) facing vicarious trauma.
  • Physical Stamina: Must meet the physical requirements for field-based work, including navigating diverse urban environments in various weather conditions.
  • Hybrid Environment: A mix of administrative office duties and field-based outreach work.
  • On-Call/Flexibility: Must be willing to arrange work hours to benefit the program, including responding to emergency alerts and attending community meetings outside of standard business hours.
  • Professional Standards: Conduct all functions in accordance with Agency guidelines, ethical standards, and mandated reporter requirements.
