About The Position

We are looking to hire a skilled lead carpenter to provide guidance and supervision to the project team involved in construction projects. The lead carpenter’s responsibilities include assigning and explaining tasks to the project team, responding to the Project Manager’s requests for emergency repairs, and regularly inspecting work done by the project team to ensure that it conforms to certain specifications.

Requirements

At least five years of carpentry experience
Thorough understanding of rough, finish carpentry, and all trades associated with home remodeling
Ability and willingness to work in a team
Willingness to interact with other Beal Properties employees
Strong communication skills
Valid driver’s license
Reliable transportation capable of carrying 4’ X 8’ sheet of material as well as material up to 16’ in length
Possess all of your own tools to complete the job
High school diploma or GED
Proven experience in residential remodeling or construction
Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures
The ability to safely operate power tools
The ability to read blueprints
Excellent time management skills
Strong leadership skills

Responsibilities

Assigning and explaining tasks to the project team.
Communicating with the Project Manager in order to determine the time frames within which projects should be completed.
Supervising the company's field carpenters, unskilled and semi-skilled workers, and subcontractors.
Performing all carpentry duties required, including both rough and finish carpentry.
Maintaining accurate records of all work done by the project team.
Take Progress photos of each job throughout every stage and send them to the Construction Manager weekly.
