About The Position

Looking for a Lead Carpenter who takes real pride in their work and wants to run clean, organized, high end residential projects without the usual chaos. We're a design build firm based in Amesbury, MA, focused on high quality remodels and new construction across the North Shore and Southern New Hampshire. Our projects are thoughtful, well designed, and built to a high standard and we're looking for someone who operates the same way. Clean work, tight details, and no cutting corners. The Role You'll lead projects onsite from mobilization through completion, managing a 1-2 person crew while staying hands on in the work.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of carpentry experience
  • 2+ years leading a crew or running jobs
  • Strong skills in both rough and finish carpentry
  • Ability to run a job independently without constant direction
  • Solid understanding of residential construction practices and materials
  • Professional, respectful communication with clients and team members
  • Organized, reliable, and self motivated
  • Comfortable with physical work and reading plans

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with high end residential work on the North Shore is a big plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects onsite from mobilization through completion, managing a 1-2 person crew while staying hands on in the work.
  • Review scope with sales, estimating, and project management
  • Coordinate and delegate pre construction tasks
  • Mobilize and properly protect the job site
  • Lead, direct, and work alongside your crew
  • Read and interpret plans accurately
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite organization
  • Perform and oversee installation of framing, siding, windows, doors, flooring, trim, drywall, cabinetry, and more
  • Communicate regularly with clients and project managers
  • Keep the job moving efficiently and on schedule
  • Ensure proper cleanup and professional project completion
