COMMUNITY NAME Sunrise of Issaquah Job ID 2026-241923 JOB OVERVIEW The Lead Care Partner functions as the lead to a group of Care Partners/“Designated Care Partners” during the shift. The Lead Care Partner ensures quality care and services are being provided to residents in our Terrace Club neighborhood and documented in a consistent manner and in alignment with each resident’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP). The Lead Care Partner leads by example in all job responsibilities and is responsible for demonstrating the Mission for Sunrise Senior Living, “to champion quality of life for all seniors” in accordance with federal, state/provincial, and local laws and regulations and Sunrise Senior Living standards, policies, and procedures to promote the highest degree of quality care and services to our residents.

Requirements

  • Ability to delegate assignments based on skills, roles, and interests.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Sound judgment, problem solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • High School diploma or GED strongly preferred and may be required per state/provincial regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, residents, and families.
  • Maintain required certifications including CPR, First Aid, Medication Management, and other applicable credentials.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience working with seniors and a desire to serve and care for seniors.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies.
  • Ability to make decisions in the best interest of residents.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Sunrise applications.
  • If applicable, must meet Sunrise vehicle safety and regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervisory support by taking attendance at the beginning of every shift, managing call-offs/no shows, sending open shift messages, and responding to shift requests.
  • Support team members as they provide Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care and services to residents in accordance with their Individual Service Plan (ISP).
  • Assist with bathing, grooming, hygiene, dressing, hair care, escorting residents, and maintaining resident rooms as needed.
  • Encourage personalized and meaningful resident participation in life enrichment programming and ADLs.
  • Assist with meal service and coach team members on hospitality standards during dining experiences.
  • Document care and services accurately, review documentation, and coach team members to address gaps.
  • Ensure compliance with timekeeping and meal/rest policies and coach team members as needed.
  • Display flexibility by working holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts when required.
  • Prepare for shifts by assigning resident groups and distributing assignments to care partners.
  • Participate in crossover meetings to share and receive pertinent information.
  • Carry or assume resident assignments as needed to support staffing gaps.
  • Cross-train and maintain certifications to administer medications when needed.
  • Lead by example in timekeeping, attendance, and adherence to policies.
  • Participate in group interview processes including job previews and tours.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment by following established safety standards.
  • Report incidents and complete required documentation immediately.
  • Communicate changes in resident condition and assist in care plan updates.
  • Support conflict resolution and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Contribute to performance reviews by providing feedback to leadership.
  • Maintain a positive, professional and friendly image.
  • Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all regulatory training requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
