About The Position

Collects and inputs survey and engineering data into a CAD/CAM/CAE software database, and providing specific deliverables to construction and field survey teams in the form of GPS Machine Control Models, Surfaces, Linework and visual Documentation. Assesses engineering requirements and translates into technical blueprints, drawings, layouts, and simulation models using CAD/CAM/CAE software ensures drawings meet product design goals. Coaches and mentors’ other team members. Expert understanding and usage of CAD/CAM/CAE design and drafting software platforms. Oversees modeling and design duties that require site authorization or have legal precedence. Reviews and provides feedback on work product(s) for subordinate CAD Technicians. Lead technician in matters of design changes/updates. Good collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

• Has specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process to perform a broad range of complex work assignments.
• Completes assignments and facilitates the work activities of others; may coordinate work beyond own area.
• Works autonomously within established procedures and practices; proposing improvement to processes and methods as needed.
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6+ years of Computer Aided Design (CAD) support and/or experience required.
• Expert understanding and usage of CAD/CAM/CAE design and drafting software platforms.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in drafting or survey preferred.
