About The Position

The Lead Cabin Cleaning Agent will direct the daily activities of the team, balance resources, and is responsible for supporting a team's ability to achieve mutually established goals. This role is responsible for providing support in turning an aircraft on-time, with a focus on safety and service. The Lead Cabin Cleaning Agent performs all Cabin Cleaning Agent duties while mentoring and setting an example for team members.

Requirements

  • Six months experience as a McGee Cabin Cleaning Agent
  • Less than six attendance points
  • No discipline above a written warning
  • Meets all other minimum requirements as outlined in the Ramp Agent job description
  • Open availability
  • Ability to maintain a SIDA badge, CBP seal, and USPS security clearance
  • Valid driver's license
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Performing basic mathematic calculations
  • Ability to give/receive instructions in English
  • Lifting up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily activities of the team and balance resources.

  • Provide support in turning an aircraft on-time, with a focus on safety and service.
  • Perform all Cabin Cleaning Agent duties.
  • Mentor and set an example for team members.
  • Promote, maintain, and champion a culture of safety at all times.
  • Be aware of safety procedures, operational goals, and timelines to ensure all are followed without fail.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for the team and of team members while leading, directing, motivating, and approving the team's work.
  • Communicate in a clear, concise, and consistent manner.
  • Recognize and encourage individual and team performance.
  • Actively monitor team activities to ensure proper safety procedures are followed and escalate as needed, provide coaching and immediate correction while effectively communicating to leadership of coaching and guidance of team members.
  • Ensure assigned equipment works properly, is returned at the close of each shift and is in working order and if not, identify non-operational equipment to leadership.
  • Exhibit a safety-first mindset and encourage the team to stop the operation when something does not feel safe, or something is questionable and follow this principle for every task.
  • Coach, train, and mentor new team members and provide guidance to more experienced team members to ensure all safety and operational procedures are followed.
  • Maintain curiosity and seek better ways to do things for ongoing improvement.
  • Be a role model by being to flights on-time and be prepared.
  • Follow all operational and safety procedures to include load plans to ensure accuracy and on-time departures.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
