About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating and leading the activities of a group to provide cabin services as required. The role involves performing cabin service cleaning activities, including wiping down surfaces in galleys and lavatories, removing refuse, cleaning seat trays, and arranging seat pocket items according to airline specifications. The Lead Cabin Cleaner will also operate cleaning machinery, handle wet garbage and stocking, and perform cosmetic arrangements of aircraft interiors. Additionally, the role includes replenishing supplies, distributing blankets, and driving/positioning hydraulic lift trucks. Safety compliance and assisting with employee scheduling are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess/maintain a valid Driver’s License and other FAA required identification/seals.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to continuously lift, push and pull up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead the activities of a group to provide cabin services.
  • Perform cabin service cleaning activities such as wiping down all surfaces of galleys and lavatories.
  • Remove all refuse from containers, ashtrays, seat pockets, and floors.
  • Wipe down all seat trays, remove debris from seats, and arrange seat pocket items as required by various airlines.
  • Operate machinery used in the cleaning process, including trucks, vacuum cleaners, generators, and PTO hydraulics.
  • Handle wet garbage and gross volume stocking.
  • Perform cosmetic arrangement of seat belts, headrests, etc.
  • Replenish aircraft catering and toiletry supplies as required by certain airlines.
  • Fold and distribute blankets throughout aircraft.
  • Drive and position hydraulic lift truck as required.
  • Know and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist in scheduling of employees.
  • Comply with the Location’s attendance/tardiness standards.
  • Meet the Station’s attendance standards.
