About The Position

United Ground Express is seeking a Full-Time Lead Cabin Appearance Agent for their EWR location. This role involves managing the daily operations of cabin appearance, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly. The Lead Cabin Appearance Agent will provide direction and coaching to employees, communicate with various hub services agents, and ensure all operations function safely and efficiently. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain necessary credentials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or preferred
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data
  • Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical activities including, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
  • Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment
  • Must be able to read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
  • Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal) per local requirements
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Remove all trash from aircraft and clean and restock all lavatories and soiled magazines
  • Clean aircraft floor, galley, all seats, seat back pockets, and tray tables
  • Complete Daily Equipment Checks and associated checklists, including security searches
  • Use personal protective equipment, including a face shield & hearing protection
  • Manage the daily operation to ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly
  • Provide direction, instruction and coaching to employees as needed
  • Work closely with Dispatchers and Supervisors to ensure employee assignments are followed and completed correctly
  • Effectively communicate with all hub services agents
  • Ensure any injuries, incidents, accidents, and/or customer service issues are properly reported and processed
  • Maintain professional working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, managers, airline employees, and airport authorities
  • Ensure the operation functions in a safe, caring, dependable and efficient manner at all times
  • Perform other duties, as assigned
