About The Position

LuckyGunner.com, a leading online ammunition retailer and firearms content provider since 2009, is seeking a motivated individual to join their small, dynamic team in Knoxville. This role will support the Purchasing Manager in optimizing the fast-moving ammunition supply chain through effective purchasing strategies. The ideal candidate will possess an ownership mentality, proactively seek new purchasing opportunities, manage existing supplier relationships, and optimize inventory for a wide selection of ammunition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar, or M.B.A.
  • 3 or more years of post-collegiate professional experience.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Google Docs/Sheets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
  • Experience with Google Search and general web navigation.
  • Willingness to relocate to Knoxville, Tennessee.
  • Willingness to complete basic skills assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Purchasing inventory, evaluating the impact on inventory breadth, cannibalization, turnover, risk, profitability, and cash flow.
  • Actively seeking purchasing opportunities from suppliers.
  • Managing pricing for several thousand items to maximize value creation.
  • Mapping out logistics and purchasing processes for scalability and clarity.
  • Interacting with suppliers via phone, email, and in person to maximize value for customers and suppliers.
  • Traveling to meet with suppliers to build relationships and enhance value.
