About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Aligned Finance Analyst to work in Technology Finance supporting the Chief Data Office (CDO). This role will report to the CDO CFO and will be responsible for end-to-end financial oversight for assigned CDO portfolios, including operating expenses, investing planning, headcount, vendor management, efficiency initiatives and FP&A activities. The analyst will translate complex financial and technical data into clear, actionable insights for senior technology and finance leadership. Strong analytical capability, finance systems expertise, relationship management and the ability to synthesize large, complex data sets into executive-ready narratives are critical for success in this role.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Responsibilities

  • Lead consolidation of financials across the CDO product portfolio, creating a clear CDO-level view of actuals, forecast, budget, headcount, and investment spend for leadership review.
  • Provide strong finance partnership to product and leadership stakeholders by connecting detailed product financials to the broader CDO story, ensuring leaders understand business implications, tradeoffs, and financial impacts.
  • Consolidate inputs from multiple CDO products and leadership teams into executive-ready materials that support enterprise prioritization, operating discipline, and business decision-making.
  • Partner closely with the CDO Finance Manager, CDO CFO, CDO Product Finance Leads and Data Leadership Team to support financial planning, operating reviews, leadership discussions, and executive presentations across the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing innovative solutions (including AI-enabled capabilities) to simplify processes, improve transparency, and elevate the overall quality and speed of finance deliverables.
  • Coordinate and support core finance processes, including annual planning, monthly forecasting, month-end close, plan transfers, reporting, and ad hoc analysis across financials, headcount, and investment spend.
  • Deliver financial commentary, BURs, IBRs, RTB/CTB Commentary and variance analysis that clearly explains trends, drivers, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership, including product-level and consolidated CDO-level views.
  • Consolidate and track vendor spend across the CDO portfolio, including software, professional services, SOWs, and non-labor investments, ensuring a clear and consistent enterprise view.
  • Prepare vendor spend review materials for Tech CFO and senior leadership reviews, including insights on run-rate, commitments, pipeline, risks, and optimization opportunities.
  • Partners with product finance leads and business stakeholders to validate vendor spend assumptions, align on forecasts, and ensure accurate reflection of pipeline activities (new deals, renewals, expansions, and exits).
