Join us as a Lead BI & Analytics Engineer to own, stabilize, and transform our Power BI reporting landscape. In this role, you will lead the transition from legacy KPIs and inconsistent logic to a standardized, scalable analytics layer built on Azure Fabric and data lake architecture. We are looking for a leader who thrives on technical ownership and can drive clarity in a complex operational environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ Years of Experience: In BI, analytics engineering, or data visualization, including a Bachelor’s Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Expert-level Power BI (DAX, performance tuning, report design), deep understanding of semantic modeling, and proven ownership of end-to-end enterprise solutions.
  • Strong SQL skills for validation and analysis, and proven ability to stabilize, rebuild, and govern existing, complex reporting environments by defining and standardizing KPIs.
  • Experience with Azure data platforms (Fabric, Data Lake, Synapse) and structuring fragmented, inconsistent operational/event-driven datasets into usable analytics.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills, ability to translate ambiguity into structured solutions, and proven ability to operate independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with physical security, IoT, or event-driven operational data
  • Experience supporting both operational and executive/leadership reporting
  • Familiarity with Power BI governance, deployment pipelines, and Dev/Test/Prod environments
  • Exposure to enterprise data architecture and working within defined data standards

Responsibilities

  • Lead the complete lifecycle of analytics delivery, from initial discovery and KPI definition to final validation and rollout.
  • Reverse engineer and stabilize the current complex Power BI reporting landscape.
  • Redesign dashboards and eliminate inconsistent KPI definitions and legacy logic to establish a clean, standardized, and high-performance reporting environment.
  • Convert raw, event-driven operational data into structured, actionable insights.
  • Design and maintain robust Power BI semantic models, ensuring alignment with enterprise data architecture (Azure Fabric / data lake).
  • Define and standardize critical operational KPIs (e.g., incident response, SLA adherence) across all regions and systems.
  • Work proactively with stakeholders to establish reporting governance and ensure all reporting is accurate, consistent, and trusted as the single source of truth.
