About The Position

The Starbucks Lead Barista is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and assisting the Starbucks Manager in managing store activities during scheduled shifts. This position involves training and mentoring new baristas, upholding high standards of service, and ensuring the consistent quality of beverages and food offerings.

Requirements

  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a resort environment.
  • Minimum a year of experience in a leadership role in a food and beverage environment.
  • Must have proven leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • A food handling certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language.
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques and use of equipment, machinery.

Nice To Haves

  • Second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily Starbucks operations to ensure efficient service, product consistency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a positive and memorable experience.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate baristas to achieve service and performance standards.
  • Ensure all beverages and food items are prepared according to Starbucks recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering, receiving, and proper storage of products and supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards in accordance with company policies and health regulations.
  • Handle cash management responsibilities, including register operations, cash reconciliation, and adherence to cash-handling procedures.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks.
  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume to keep the store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
  • Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to associates on shift.
  • Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational tools and by collaborating with store manager and supervisor to find new, creative, and effective methods of recognition.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.
