Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be able to move heavy banquet equipment and furniture
  • At least 1 year Food & Beverage experience in a service or set-up position
  • Conference, banquet, and/or high-volume restaurant experience
  • Ability to work and maintain a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, holidays, split shifts, etc.
  • Ability to respond and adapt to last minute changes
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Ensure venue is exactly as contracted on BEO: including chairs, tables, staging, skirting of tables, water stations, buffets, etc.
  • Conduct a Stand up with all FOH staff to discuss BEO and any specific details about event.
  • Check staff uniforms are being worn correctly – name tags etc.
  • Oversee and assign what duties each staff members will be responsible for during event.
  • Oversee the seating of guests, serving of meals and beverages, and the quick clearing of tables.
  • Must be willing to work any position at the event to assure top-level guest experience.
  • Answer customer questions and accommodate special requests when necessary and if possible.
  • Ensure proper billing is completed for each event.
  • Maintains all work areas neatly and orderly. Checks banquet area before, during and after shift for proper set & cleanliness.
  • Follows established checklists for opening & closing duties.
  • Greet all guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Handles multiple guests efficiently.
  • Follows established Brand Standards for banquet setups.
  • Ensures all BEO's are followed and serviced in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned
