About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.) Studies and understands Banquet Event Orders (BEO), identifies tasks and assigns them within the team Actively works with the setup team to complete venue sets to specifications and signs-off on all details mentioned within the BEO Co-ordinates room refreshes and venue breakdown Prepares weekly schedule for the setup team in a cost-effective manner according to business needs Observes direct reports, takes corrective actions when necessary, continuously trains and retrains setup associates Understands, follows and enforces all Nemacolin standards Takes utmost care of equipment, venues and other Nemacolin assets, reports damages or malfunctions immediately Keeps the work area immaculate – both Front and Heart of House Keeps storage areas organized, presentable and safe Other job duties as assigned by the Banquet Captain or Banquet Management This job description cannot possibly include a complete comprehensive listing of all the activities, duties or responsibilities that may be require by the organization and/or members of management. Requirements

  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Ability to walk up to 8 hours at a time and to bend
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Must be able to speak the English language fluently
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
  • Must be able to handle high-pressure situations
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts – including holidays, weekends, evenings, etc.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills
  • Must possess a drivers license
  • Intermediate skills in navigating cloud based softwares and Microsoft Office programs

Responsibilities

  • Studies and understands Banquet Event Orders (BEO), identifies tasks and assigns them within the team
  • Actively works with the setup team to complete venue sets to specifications and signs-off on all details mentioned within the BEO
  • Co-ordinates room refreshes and venue breakdown
  • Prepares weekly schedule for the setup team in a cost-effective manner according to business needs
  • Observes direct reports, takes corrective actions when necessary, continuously trains and retrains setup associates
  • Understands, follows and enforces all Nemacolin standards
  • Takes utmost care of equipment, venues and other Nemacolin assets, reports damages or malfunctions immediately
  • Keeps the work area immaculate – both Front and Heart of House
  • Keeps storage areas organized, presentable and safe
  • Other job duties as assigned by the Banquet Captain or Banquet Management
