About The Position

This position is responsible for completing the final breakdown of functions by cleaning the room, and cleaning and returning equipment to its proper location. It also involves completing closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, locking doors, and breaking down goods. The role requires setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas, as well as monitoring and maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Additionally, the houseman will transport dirty linen to the correct area for cleaning, separate napkins from tablecloths, and restock linen shelves with clean linens. Maintaining cleanliness of work areas throughout the day using clean-as-you-go procedures and assisting other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests are key aspects of this role. The position also requires adherence to all company and safety/security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and completing safety training and certifications. Ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets are also essential. The role involves welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guests’ service needs, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional, and support should be provided to the team to reach common goals. Adherence to quality expectations and standards is required. The job involves reading and visually verifying information in various formats, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects of varying weights. Grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination is necessary. The role requires moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, is also part of the job duties. Other reasonable job duties may be requested.

Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
