About The Position

Oversees all Set-up Banquet functions under the direction of the Banquet Manager, ensuring guest satisfaction. Assists in the on-going evaluation of employees and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures. This role is responsible for ensuring that Silver Legacy’s service standards are met during banquet functions, including set-up, equipment, room set-up, lighting, etc. The Lead Banquet Set Up must ensure all rooms are set up according to the banquet event order (BEO), that door signs are put in daily for each function according to BEO, and that back hallways and equipment are organized, clean, and in their correct space allowing for proper egress. They must notify the Assistant Manager of any damage to equipment as soon as possible and always present a professional manner. This role also involves reviewing weekly functions and employee scheduling with the Banquet Manager and ensuring that proper sanitation procedures are followed at all times. The Lead Banquet Set Up must exemplify the company's core values, family style service, mission, vision, and DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culture. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 2-4 years as Banquet Captain in a multi-unit hotel or casino
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Frequent walking
  • Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
