About The Position

Our team specializes in Building Management Systems (BMS) that control HVAC and lighting systems for large retail facilities nationwide. The primary scope of work includes replacing automation equipment, troubleshooting system issues, commissioning controls, and updating software platforms. This role requires travel for approximately 15–17 consecutive days on the road followed by 5 days at home. Candidates must be comfortable traveling extensively and working independently while representing the company professionally on job sites.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in HVAC, controls, automation, or electrical work
  • Working knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) that control HVAC and lighting systems
  • Experience servicing automation systems in large retail or commercial environments preferred
  • Familiarity with replacing BMS equipment, controllers, sensors, and related components
  • Experience performing software updates, programming changes, and system commissioning
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for both electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently while traveling extensively
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and replace BMS and automation equipment
  • Perform software updates and system commissioning for HVAC and lighting controls
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical system issues efficiently
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and internal teams
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule
  • Lead and assist field teams during installations and service work
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and system changes
  • Travel to customer sites nationwide as required
