DTCCCoppell, TX
$75,000 - $150,000Hybrid

About The Position

The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance. Being a member of IT Enterprise Architecture Data & Corp Tech team, the Lead Infrastructure Test Engineer – Endpoint Testing & Automation will lead the design, execution, automation, and continuous improvement of enterprise endpoint and servers validation for accelerated patch and application release cycles. This role is accountable for enabling ETE certification within a short testing SLA after deployment and release. The role will drive automated functional, regression, standard application, and performance testing using Login VSI and custom automation frameworks while ensuring measurable quality gates, actionable defect triage, and leadership-ready reporting across Laptop, VDI, VM, Windows laptop, VDI server and macOS environments. The Enterprise Infrastructure End-to-End Testing (ETE) function validates endpoint readiness, stability, user experience, application functionality, and performance across VDI, Azure Persistent VM, Windows laptop, and macOS platforms following monthly patches, security updates, application upgrades, and emergency releases. The team partners with DWS Stakeholders to deliver rapid, evidence-based certification of enterprise endpoints while reducing user-impact risk.

  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience
  • 6–10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, endpoint testing, endpoint management, VDI operations, EUC engineering, QA automation, or enterprise technology operations.
  • Hands-on experience validating enterprise endpoints including Windows laptops, VDI, vPod, and macOS devices after patching, application upgrades, security agent updates, and platform changes.
  • Strong Windows operating system troubleshooting knowledge including logs, services, drivers, kernel/CPU behavior, memory/disk performance, networking, profiles, login experience, and endpoint agent interactions.
  • Experience performing functional, regression, application, compatibility, and performance testing using standardized test cases and enterprise testing tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Login VSI or comparable user-experience/performance testing toolsets for virtual desktop or application performance validation.
  • Strong automation experience with Python, with working knowledge of C#, C++, PowerShell, REST/API integration, and command-line automation for endpoint validation and evidence collection.
  • Working knowledge of SCCM/MECM and/or Microsoft Intune patch deployment processes, endpoint readiness models, and post-deployment validation workflows.
  • Basic-to-intermediate application troubleshooting skills, including application launch, functional validation, crash/hang review, dependency validation, and performance symptom analysis.
  • Ability to lead engineers, assign ownership, coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage priorities during compressed release windows, and produce executive-ready status reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with observability or DEX platforms such as SysTrack/Lakeside, endpoint telemetry, Windows Event Viewer, PerfMon, WMI/CIM, and log analytics is preferred.
  • Mac endpoint validation experience including macOS patching, application validation, security tool compatibility, compliance posture, authentication/login flows, and performance checks is preferred.
  • Experience working in regulated enterprise environments with documented change validation, risk controls, audit evidence, and ITIL-aligned operational practices is preferred.
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 Cloud PC, Citrix DaaS, hybrid endpoint environments, and cloud-managed endpoint platforms.
  • Exposure to endpoint security and productivity agents such as CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Qualys, Defender, SysTrack, Sapience, Cisco Secure Client, and similar enterprise agents.
  • Experience building dashboards or automated reporting for SLA compliance, patch readiness, automation execution, defect trends, and performance regression analysis.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted or autonomous testing concepts, test orchestration, and continuous improvement of enterprise regression testing platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead enterprise ETE endpoint and VDI assets validation across VDI, vPod, Windows laptops, VDI servers, and macOS following OS patches, security updates, application/agent upgrades, and business releases.
  • Deliver accelerated testing SLAs by defining prioritized execution models, entry/exit criteria, automation runbooks, and rapid defect triage workflows.
  • Provide fast, evidence-based release certification including pass/fail status, defect classification, risk assessment, and go/no-go recommendations in collaboration with DWS stakeholders.
  • Drive unified functional, regression, and performance validation using standardized ETE test cases and Login VSI workloads to benchmark user experience, application response, and capacity impact.
  • Design, build, and scale automation frameworks leveraging Python, PowerShell, APIs, and command-line tooling to automate endpoint validation, health checks, application testing, telemetry capture, and evidence generation.
  • Standardize performance and experience validation by tracking CPU, memory, disk, logon time, application response, and Login VSI deltas against baseline metrics.
  • Develop cross-platform validation workflows, including macOS testing for patch readiness, compliance, authentication, application behavior, security agent compatibility, and performance baselining.
  • Perform deep OS and application troubleshooting across Windows environments, including event logs, services, drivers, kernel/CPU scheduling, memory/disk performance, network stack behavior, login delays, and endpoint agent conflicts.
  • Leverage observability platforms (e.g., SysTrack, Login VSI, Event Viewer, PerfMon) to accelerate defect identification, root cause analysis, and impact quantification.
  • Operate patch-cycle command center execution with defined ownership, severity models, escalation paths, and structured communication cadence for compressed release timelines.
  • Establish automation-first, repeatable test execution models to increase coverage, reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and eliminate false positives.
  • Identify and escalate critical defects early with actionable telemetry, reproducible evidence, impact scope, and remediation ownership.
  • Deliver leadership-ready reporting and dashboards covering SLA adherence, automation coverage, pass/fail trends, performance impact, defect aging, and enterprise risk exposure.
  • Continuously improve the ETE testing ecosystem by driving automation maturity, proactive risk detection, standardized execution, and measurable quality improvements.
  • Ensure audit-ready compliance and control adherence, maintaining documented validation evidence, patch readiness metrics, and vulnerability remediation alignment.
