About The Position

We are looking for an individual to join the Renaissance Integration and Testing team as Lead, Software Engineering: Software Development Test (SDET), to lead the manual and automated integration testing at the program level. This role contributes to the company’s performance and scalability testing efforts, develops, enhances, and extends automation frameworks, and identifies quality tasks during team sprint cycles to implement automation for new features. The position involves analyzing and communicating test results, defect tracking, participating in performance and load test efforts, and assisting in the planning, creation, and control of test environments and test data. The Lead SDET will also define test strategy, conduct requirements analysis for testability, identify scope, conduct risk and mitigation planning, configuration management planning, and write master and detailed test plans. Additionally, they will participate in the review of test procedures and processes, provide recommendations for improvements to eliminate redundancies and enhance efficiency, and support regression testing and the introduction of required changes as new releases are introduced. Support for the Ovations systems includes research and resolution of system issues, user support, and scheduled activities. The role also involves building and maintaining professional relationships with key colleagues and vendors to ensure services and solutions meet current and future needs.

Requirements

• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Hands-on experience with design, develop and maintain testcases by utilizing leading industry standards tools and automation frameworks that can simulate complex multi-system scenarios
• Experience working with two or more of the following: web/mobile application development, Unix/Linux environments transaction processing systems, distributed and parallel systems, large software systems development, security software development, public-cloud platforms
• Strong testing experience which includes developing test plans, automate test cases, and working with test frameworks
• Understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC), including proven experience in implementing software applications
• Proficiency in any test management tool, test automation tools
• Java based software development experience, fluent in object-oriented design, industry best practices, and architecture principles
• Strong Automated testing framework experience using cucumber
• API and high-volume data testing experience
• BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum of seven (3-7) years’ experience working with manual and automation technologies as an expert with a clear understanding of core practices, processes, and terminology

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of SQL DB , CDB using IBM DB2 and TRINO
• Basic understanding of Kafka event
• Streaming and event driven system experience a plus.
• Message queuing and event sourcing tools like IBM MQ, AWS s3
• Clearing systems functional expertise and familiarity with technical offerings such as integrations and Core Connectors is preferred
• Previous experience testing in Financial Services, Derivatives Clearing systems
