About The Position

The company is seeking enthusiastic and reliable After School Tennis Coaches to teach fun, beginner-friendly tennis sessions to elementary school students in grades K–5 (ages 5–10) at school sites throughout the Bay Area. Programs take place Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Coaches typically teach one approximately one-hour class per day, with a possible additional 30 minutes of pre-care. Classes aim to create a fun, energetic environment for young beginner-level students. After School Program pay is $50–$65 per session. Regular Tennis Clinics pay $18–$24 per hour and provide 2–4 hours of work, depending on tennis skills and class level. Equipment and lesson plans are provided. This is an in-person role for candidates who live locally and can travel around the East Bay and Peninsula. Coaches must attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years old.
Enjoy working with children and be patient, enthusiastic, and reliable.
Have good communication and class management skills.
Have reliable transportation around the East Bay and Peninsula.
Be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting work.

Nice To Haves

Previous tennis teaching or playing experience is preferred but not required.
USPTA or PTR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Teach tennis classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
Manage classes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive environment.
Attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting.
Take attendance, manage student sign-ins, and interact with parents and school staff.
Capture a few class photos for documentation.
Provide reliable transportation to program locations around the East Bay and Peninsula.
