About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Lead Assembler – 3rd Shift to join our team! The hourly rate starts at $24.45-$26.00/hour, depending on experience. The core hours are 11pm – 7am, Monday-Friday; Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. This position is based at our Lincoln Avenue facility in Waukesha, WI. This position offers a sign-on bonus of $3,000, less applicable withholding. Bonuses are only applicable to specific job types and shifts; additional terms and conditions may apply. Associates must be employed at the time of the payout. Bonuses will be payable in two installments: $1,500, less applicable withholding will be paid after three (3) months of employment and the remaining $1,500, less applicable withholding will be paid after nine (9) months of employment. Moving to 1st shift will disqualify you from any remaining new hire bonus payments.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
  • The ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship is required.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous electrical experience or education in AC/DC
  • One-year Technical Diploma in welding or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Positions and shapes leads for proper clearance within tank.
  • Mig welds laminated leads to bus bar.
  • Brazes, welds, or crimps secondary leads to coil.
  • Assembles and hooks up dual voltage switches, tap changers singularly or in gangs and other accessories required. Must take into consideration the positioning, clearances, etc. required for tanking.
  • Fits, and cuts wood braces for secondary and primary leads, including layout, and bolts onto core and coil frame.
  • Measures and cuts leads to proper lengths.
  • Measures, cuts, strips, insulates and crimps terminals on other required leads.
  • Minor coil repair, as needed caused by handling, etc.
  • Read Blueprints & Schematics.
