About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Architecture Consultant to drive enterprise architecture strategy and execution across a dynamic portfolio of applications and platforms. This role plays a critical part in aligning business objectives with scalable, secure, and modern technology solutions. As a senior technical leader, you will guide large-scale transformation efforts, shape architecture direction, and lead high-performing teams to deliver meaningful business outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision and strong people leadership.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business or IT, or equivalent education and related training
Ten years of application development/support experience; five years of application architecture experience
Strong analytical and architectural skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, facilitation, and influence
Significant knowledge of current and emerging application architecture principles, methodologies and tools
Experience as negotiator with vendors for relevant products and services
Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking with ability to differentiate feasible from academic solutions
Ability to translate high-level business planning information into application needs/solution
Maintain a high-level of awareness and understanding of existing and emerging technologies, as well as industry and Bank issues in order to recommend and effectively influence the utilization of the appropriate technologies to solve for business challenges and enable business optimization and growth

Strong expertise in cloud platforms, distributed systems, and integration architectures

Responsibilities

Design and communicate the enterprise application architectural vision necessary to meet business needs. Complete the necessary review processes or assessments to ensure the architecture vision is delivered.
Lead the identification, planning, creation and oversight of sound application architecture frameworks, guidelines, patterns, and standards for use across the enterprise to influence application architecture decision-making and consistency.
Responsible for the creation and implementation of the appropriate review processes to identify potential architectural issues early in the development/procurement cycle for the purpose of steering the proposed solution towards a sound architectural conclusion. This includes development of required artifacts.
Identify and drive application architecture consolidation and optimization opportunities, including integration of emerging technologies and business capabilities.
Perform approved proof-of-concepts to “test” technology and business application capabilities and provide recommendations to senior management regarding future use within the organization.
Drive Architecture Strategy: Define and evolve enterprise architecture across application, data, integration, and infrastructure domains.
Develop and execute multi-year architecture roadmaps aligned to business and regulatory priorities.
Establish and enforce architecture standards, governance, and best practices.
Lead Solution Design & Delivery: Architect complex, enterprise-scale solutions across cloud, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
Evaluate trade-offs across performance, scalability, cost, and risk to guide technical decisions.
Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless delivery from design through deployment.
Own solution outcomes and ensure delivery of measurable business value.
Lead & Develop Teams: Lead and mentor architects and senior engineers across onshore and offshore teams.
Set technical direction, delivery priorities, and performance expectations.
Provide coaching, career development, and continuous feedback.
Build and strengthen the next generation of architecture and engineering leaders.
Collaborate Across the Enterprise: Partner with business, product, risk, and compliance stakeholders to align technology with strategic goals.
Translate business needs into architecture solutions and actionable delivery plans.
Influence senior leaders and drive alignment on key technology decisions.
Drive Modernization & Innovation: Lead initiatives such as legacy modernization, cloud adoption, and integration strategy.
Promote modern architecture patterns, automation, and reuse.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and cost optimization.
Ensure Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with enterprise security, regulatory, and risk management standards.
Lead architecture reviews and contribute to governance forums.
Track and report on architecture health and compliance metrics.
Advance Operational Excellence: Define and monitor KPIs for system performance, resiliency, and scalability.
Support incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
Champion DevSecOps and operational best practices.
