Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires: The Performance Engineering Lead Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for defining and driving performance engineering strategies across enterprise systems. This role ensures that applications and platforms meet stringent performance, scalability, and resiliency requirements while aligning with organizational goals. The Lead Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and influence architectural decisions to embed performance as a core pillar of solution design.

Requirements

  • 10–15+ years in performance testing and engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or architect role.
  • Proficiency in performance testing tools (e.g., Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, BlazeMeter).
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with scripting, load profile development, and performance analysis.
  • Ability to articulate performance engineering value to executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead performance engineering initiatives across multiple projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex performance issues and provide actionable solutions.
  • Review test strategies, results, and recommendations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Integrate performance testing and monitoring into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
  • Define performance architecture standards and best practices for enterprise systems.
  • Conduct capacity planning, load modeling, and architectural reviews to optimize system performance.
  • Champion resiliency and chaos engineering practices to validate system robustness under stress conditions.
  • Mentor and coach performance engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop intellectual property, reusable frameworks, and automation strategies for performance testing.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and skill development plans for the performance engineering team.
