About The Position

The Lead Application Administrator, Information Management serves as Accountable Health Partners’ (AHP) primary technical and operational lead for the enterprise data platform and clinical information systems that underpin AHP’s population health, clinical quality, and value-based care programs. This role combines deep application and data administration expertise with hands-on stewardship of inbound clinical data quality — ensuring the enterprise data platform and connected data pipelines remain reliable, accurate, and aligned with evolving organizational strategy. AHP’s current enterprise data platform is Health Catalyst. This position functions concurrently across four critical areas within the platform vendor partnership framework: Application Administrator, responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and integrity of the enterprise platform; Data Steward, ensuring the quality and accuracy of inbound clinical source data; Project Manager, coordinating delivery of system enhancements, new integrations, and operational improvements; and Knowledge Manager, maintaining the documentation and institutional expertise required for team continuity. The role works closely with the Director of Information Management, clinical quality and analytics teams, the platform vendor, and AHP Network practices to maintain system integrity, manage data quality investigations, and successfully deliver information management projects and enhancements. Primary goals of the position are to: •Maintain the ongoing reliability, configuration, and data quality of AHP’s enterprise data platform and all connected data pipelines and clinical source systems. •Lead clinical data validation for inbound sources and drive continuous improvement in data quality investigations in close partnership with clinical quality and analytics teams. •Serve as the organization’s data steward for source system data — understanding source content, timing, and structure — and support patient record management processes. •Recommend, plan, and execute system enhancements, upgrades, and new source integrations aligned with AHP’s strategic direction. •Cultivate effective working relationships with the platform vendor, EMR vendors, AHP Network practices, and internal stakeholders to deliver on program milestones. •Provide technical leadership, operational documentation, and knowledge continuity for the Information Management team.

Responsibilities

  • CLINICAL DATA QUALITY & VALIDATION Serves as AHP’s primary data steward and validation lead for all inbound clinical source systems. This responsibility is the operational core of the role and encompasses: Leads inbound clinical data validation for all practice data sources — verifying that data received from EMR systems, supplemental payer files, and manual extracts meets quality and completeness standards before and after loading into the enterprise data platform. Conducts and oversees ongoing data quality investigations in partnership with clinical quality, population health, and platform vendor teams; identifies root causes of anomalies and drives corrective action. Develops, maintains, and refines SQL-based validation queries and data quality procedures enabling systematic detection of anomalies across source databases, data ingestion pipelines, and the analytics foundation layer — progressing beyond sample-patient reviews toward whole-database anomaly detection. Manages the weekly verification of clinical data loads, weekly and as-needed patient record deduplication and merging (MDM), and manual data extract processes for practices without automated feeds. Coordinates with the platform vendor on support ticket escalations, system processing failures, and pipeline errors; serves as the primary point of contact for data quality issues. Maintains a structured feedback loop with clinical quality and analytics teams so that validation findings inform measure development and vice versa. Provides oversight and expertise to source system contacts across AHP Network practices regarding source data content, timing, and data ingestion windows.
  • ENTERPRISE PLATFORM & APPLICATION ADMINISTRATION Serves as AHP’s Application Administrator and primary technical lead for the enterprise data platform and all connected information systems: Leads the building, maintaining, monitoring, and auditing of the enterprise data platform and connected systems, including all configuration settings, data ingestion components, and analytic application modules across development and production environments. Manages the ongoing maintenance of provider, practice, and organizational reference data within the platform; performs routine validation of terminology and data mapping processes to ensure continued accuracy. Prioritizes and implements configuration changes, system enhancements, maintenance activities, and version upgrades; applies patches and coordinates release activities with vendor technical staff. Develops and enforces best-practice application administration and change management procedures, including a structured review process for promoting changes to production environments. Applies expert-level SQL to support system analysis, validation query development, data troubleshooting, and integration monitoring. Leads and/or actively participates in the design, testing, and documentation of new system features, integrations, upgrades, and source system onboarding. Manages program and project scope, timelines, and risk tracking; identifies and escalates issues and mitigation plans as appropriate. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends technologies, methodologies, and system enhancements to meet growing demands for information integration and support AHP strategic plans.
  • STAKEHOLDER & VENDOR COMMUNICATION Serves as AHP’s primary liaison to the enterprise platform vendor and AHP Network practice contacts across technical and operational matters: Facilitates and participates in regular platform vendor touch points, change management review meetings, project status updates, and executive-level business reviews. Manages working relationships with platform vendor technical and analytics staff; coordinates on platform architecture, analytics best practices, and delivery milestones. Manages inbound data feed relationships with EMR vendors and AHP Network practices — including onboarding new sources, troubleshooting feed issues, and coordinating data ingestion setup with the vendor. Actively represents information management in AHP leadership, clinical quality forums, and community meetings; prepares and delivers clear presentations on system status, project progress, and data quality findings. Facilitates program and project meetings with structured agendas; ensures action items, meeting minutes, and follow-up tasks are documented and tracked. Provides direction to AHP teams and practices regarding effective use of information systems; manages complex support escalations with appropriate urgency.
  • TEAM LEADERSHIP & KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT Provides technical leadership and day-to-day guidance to Information Management team members; sets clear expectations for task ownership, quality standards, and accountability. Participates in recruiting and onboarding of new staff; trains and coaches team members on enterprise platform operations, data quality practices, and source system administration. Maintains and actively develops operational documentation, process guides, runbooks, and other knowledge resources enabling team continuity and reducing key-person risk. Identifies tasks appropriate for delegation to team members; provides guidance on the appropriate depth of investigation to ensure staff operate effectively without overextending into unproductive complexity. Contributes to performance management discussions and ongoing supervision of team members as directed by the Director of Information Management.
