Whether you’re beginning your career or bringing years of experience, you’ll join a school community that values creativity, teamwork, excellence, and FUN. ✨ What You’ll Be Doing 👶 Classroom Care & Learning Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment Engage with children through meaningful play, early learning experiences, and hands-on discovery Support each child’s social–emotional development with positive guidance Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities (Lead Teachers) 🧡 Family & Community Connections Build warm, trusting relationships with families Communicate daily with professionalism, empathy, and clarity Partner with families to support children's development 👩‍🏫 Teamwork & Collaboration Work closely with co-teachers and directors to uphold schoolwide expectations Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and routines Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities 📚 Curriculum & Assessment (Lead Teachers) Create lesson plans aligned with Goddard developmental guidelines Maintain individual child portfolios and progress reports Support classroom transitions and routines with consistency and kindness 📝 Qualifications Assistant Teachers - Educational Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Experience working with children preferred Ability to support a play-based curriculum and engage actively with children Lead Teachers - Educational Qualifications A CDA or Some college credits in any field with a commitment to enroll in and complete 6 hours of online or in-person courses in Early Childhood Education within a year of employment at Goddard ( We can pay for this! ) or A Bachelor's degree in an early childhood field. Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet DCFS licensing requirements
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for early childhood education and a love of learning through play
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Assistant Teacher)
