About The Position

The Lead Analytical Scientist – Chromatography will serve as a technical subject matter expert supporting chromatographic method development, optimization, and routine testing at a client site. This role emphasizes hands‑on laboratory work, technical leadership, and collaboration within a cross‑functional team, with a strong focus on HPLC‑ and UPLC‑based techniques for protein and antibody characterization.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on HPLC experience, preferably within pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments
  • Demonstrated experience with HPLC and UPLC method development
  • Strong understanding of chromatographic theory and practical application across multiple modalities
  • Experience developing and running both routine and novel analytical assays
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and detail‑oriented
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine analytical assays with a high level of accuracy and compliance
  • Lead development, optimization, and troubleshooting of chromatographic methods
  • Design and execute novel separation and identification assays
  • Perform separation, characterization, and identification of proteins and antibodies using HPLC, UPLC, cIEF, BioA/GX, and related techniques
  • Develop chromatography methods including: Size Exclusion, Affinity, Reverse Phase, Normal Phase, Ion Exchange, Hydrophobic Interaction
  • Utilize DAD and FLD detectors to support analytical workflows
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Support documentation, data review, and method lifecycle activities as required
