About The Position

The Technology Strategy, Planning & Risk team is central to Ticketmaster's engineering organization, focusing on ensuring the right investments are made, priorities are set correctly, and the business understands the 'why' behind technology decisions. This team collaborates closely with Finance, HR, and senior tech leadership to translate operational complexities into strategic direction. The role requires a blend of financial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to build models and communicate their implications effectively. A significant aspect of this role will involve driving the adoption of AI within the team, including identifying tools, building business cases, and ensuring successful implementation. The Lead Analyst will report to a Senior Director and interact with a diverse group of stakeholders, including engineering leads, Finance, HR, and PMO, influencing decisions through rigorous analysis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in strategy, BizOps, FP&A, or management consulting, ideally with significant exposure to a technology organization.
  • Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills; advanced Excel proficiency is essential.
  • Experience with capacity planning or resource allocation in a scaled environment.
  • A proven track record of influencing decisions without direct authority.
  • Genuine comfort with ambiguity; ability to navigate fast-paced environments with undefined problems.
  • Clear, confident communication across various audiences, including the ability to write concise executive summaries and explain complex topics to engineering leads.
  • Interest in how AI is changing strategy and planning operations; curiosity is valued even if direct experience is limited.

Responsibilities

  • Support tech division P&L management and monthly KPI reporting for the CTO, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and actionability.
  • Support and sometimes lead strategic initiatives such as platform modernization, resourcing models, outsourcing analysis, and market environment assessments.
  • Drive the team's adoption of AI tooling and help build internal frameworks for its evaluation and implementation.
  • Play a central role in the annual budget cycle and quarterly planning process.
  • Build stronger working relationships between SP&R and Finance, HR, and PMO, acting as a consistent and credible point of contact.
  • Translate technical priorities into business language and business strategy into terms that engineering teams can act upon.
