About The Position

The Lead Aircraft Fueler oversees and coordinates safe, efficient aircraft fueling and defueling and related servicing at the airport. The role mentors and trains employees, helps ensure fuelers perform their duties professionally and in accordance with company and carrier standards, and maintains a safe and secure work environment consistent with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures. The position also involves operating fueling equipment and conducting daily equipment quality-control checks.

Requirements

• Possess a valid US driver’s license.
• Pass a pre-employment color vision test.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Proficiently read, write, and speak English.
• Pass a background check and obtain a US Customs seal.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members while safely and efficiently performing aircraft fueling and defueling services.
• Drive and operate fuel trucks, hydrant carts, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
• Train employees through on-the-job or airline-specific training, or assign them to work with experienced agents.
• Perform daily quality-control checks on equipment.
• Assist Aircraft Fuelers in their assigned areas and ensure they perform duties professionally, safely, efficiently, and according to company and carrier standards.
• Take reasonable care of personal and others’ health, safety, and wellbeing at work, following provided training and workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
