Lead AIML
About The Position
This role is for one of the Weekday's clients. We are looking for an experienced Lead AI/ML Engineer to solve complex business and operational challenges using advanced Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, business understanding, and hands-on problem-solving capabilities to build scalable AI-driven solutions that create measurable business impact. The ideal candidate should have deep experience working with AI/ML algorithms, data engineering pipelines, predictive analytics, NLP/NLU systems, and modern AI frameworks. You will work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to identify opportunities, formulate hypotheses, develop intelligent systems, and drive innovation across products and operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence
- Strong expertise in ML algorithms such as: Linear Regression Logistic Regression Decision Trees Random Forests K-Nearest Neighbors Neural Networks NLP/NLU models
- 5+ years of experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and SparkML
- 4+ years of strong programming experience in Python, R, Scala, Go, or similar languages
- Experience with data processing, analytics, and visualization tools
- Hands-on experience with Git and source control systems
- Strong understanding of model development, evaluation, optimization, and deployment
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Prompt Engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
- Experience deploying AI/ML workloads on Kubernetes and containerized environments using Docker
- Exposure to LLMs and Generative AI applications
- Experience with AWS AI/ML services such as: SageMaker Comprehend Lex Rekognition Transcribe Lambda EKS S3
- Experience troubleshooting production AI/ML systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab
- Understanding of microservices architecture and scalable AI infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Machine Learning and AI solutions using Python and modern AI frameworks
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into AI-driven solutions
- Apply ML/AI algorithms across areas such as: Classification Prediction Correlation analysis Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Anomaly detection NLP/NLU
- Build and optimize data pipelines for data collection, preparation, cleansing, transformation, and analysis
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets to derive actionable insights and business recommendations
- Develop prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and scalable AI products
- Implement and optimize Neural Networks, Deep Learning models, and statistical algorithms
- Work with social media and external data sources including Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, Facebook, and similar platforms
- Deliver predictive insights, automation solutions, and measurable business outcomes
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on AI/ML best practices and implementation approaches
- Contribute to architecture discussions, experimentation frameworks, and model deployment strategies
