About The Position

As a Lead AI Research Scientist, you will drive cutting-edge AI research and experimentation to shape the future of AI at Capital Group. Your work will power innovative solutions that elevate our leadership in asset management, including conversational assistants for investment guidance, personalized recommender systems that deliver investment content and product recommendations to clients, sophisticated time-series models that analyze decades of data (thousands of attributes) to predict clients’ next best actions, and optimization algorithms to enhance client engagement. You will lead high-impact research initiatives, collaborate with scientists and engineers to explore emerging techniques, and publish industry-leading ideas that empower our broader AI community.

Requirements

MS or PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, or a related field
6+ years (post-MS) or 4+ years (post-PhD) of experience delivering advanced AI solutions
Experience leading complex, ambiguous projects from concept to production
Deep expertise in generative AI, LLMs, agentic systems, knowledge graphs, reinforcement learning, and advanced architectures like Transformers and deep neural networks
Ability to apply state-of-the-art research to solve real-world business challenges and deliver production-ready innovations
Ability to communicate complex AI concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to foster a collaborative, innovative culture
