About The Position

Noon is on a mission to reinvent how designers work in the AI era. They are backed by top investors and senior leaders from major tech companies. Noon is building the next-generation AI design tool for product teams. The role of Lead AI Engineer is to own and scale the company's AI infrastructure and product capabilities. This involves building and shipping production-grade, LLM-powered features, defining the technical direction for AI systems, and translating research into reliable, measurable product impact. It is a hands-on role at the intersection of research, model training, and product, requiring the engineer to design pipelines, evaluate tradeoffs, and lead execution end-to-end.

Requirements

• 5+ years software engineering experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, training, tuning and deploying machine-learning models.
• Practical experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and LLMs
• Experience with data acquisition, data cleaning, and data pipelines
• Knowledge of model optimizations (quantization, distillation, LoRA, pruning).
• Experience building agentic AI systems
• Ability to own systems end-to-end

Responsibilities

• Own the training-to-inference pipeline for large code models—optimize inference with quantization, distillation, and caching techniques.
• Research, design, and fine-tune domain-specific LLMs for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and multi-turn reasoning.
• Design and optimize AI pipelines (prompting, retrieval, agents, evaluation).
• Lead work on agentic systems and multi-step tool calling.
• Establish standards for model evaluation, benchmarking, and observability.
• Partner closely with product, design, and engineering to ship AI features users rely on.
