About The Position

The Lead Advanced Analytics role involves interacting with data from various sources, including relational databases (SQL Server), Alteryx, cloud-based distributed databases (Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure), and unstructured data. The position requires using sandbox environments to create curated datasets. Responsibilities include analyzing large and small datasets using hypothesis testing (ANOVA, T-test, linear and logistic regression) and demonstrating knowledge of experimental design. The role also involves applying machine learning and predictive analytics methods such as classification and regression models (multivariate regression, decision trees, random forests, GLM, SVM, kNN, neural networks, ensemble methods), and unsupervised learning techniques (k-means clustering) for segmentation. Proficiency in data access and analysis tools like SQL, R, Python, PowerBI, Tableau, SAS, VBA, SPSS, and Excel is expected, along with familiarity with analysis packages such as NumPy, Pandas, SciKitLearn, Matplotlib, and SQLite. The role includes designing, maintaining, and updating interactive online dashboards, demonstrating best practices in data visualization and communication, understanding geographical variation in business performance data, and assessing the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and gathering techniques.

Requirements

  • Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Math, Statistics, Engineering or Physics and 3 Years of experience in the job offered or 3Years of experience in a related occupation building and refining predictive models using traditional statistical methods and modern machine learning techniques.
  • Developing big data analytics models using tools including Databricks, Tableau, Palantir, Power BI, and business process integration.
  • Quantifying data variances and applying statistical methods within the bigdata space.
  • Leveraging programming languages including Python for model development and SQL for database interactions, and performing modeling within the Databricks environment.
  • Ensuring models are robust, scalable, and applicable.
  • Engaging with complex datasets including ADLS, MySQL, Teradata, and Oracle.
  • Crafting comprehensive reports, charts, and visual aids to summarize findings and insights.
  • Utilizing analytics software, computer programming, data movement tools, and statistics and actuarial modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and update interactive online dashboards and demonstrate best practices in data visualization and communication.
  • Understand how to recognize and utilize geographical variation in business performance data.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
