About The Position

We're hiring an LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) Technician to support production operations on a client account in the Eagle Ford. In this role, you'll drive a regional route from well site to well site using a handheld gas analyzer to inspect equipment for leaks, repair what you can on-site, and document your findings. Accurate documentation is critical—if the monitoring isn't documented, it didn't happen from the regulators' perspective. This is a Monday–Friday position with weekends off, where you'll primarily manage your own daily route. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and enjoys working independently.

Requirements

  • Previous LDAR or fugitive emissions monitoring experience, especially Method 21 using a TVA 1000 or similar analyzer preferred.
  • Oilfield production or Lease Operator experience with knowledge of surface equipment, including: Wellheads, Separators, Compressors, Artificial lift systems.
  • Industrial or refinery experience in instrumentation, pipefitting, welding, operations, or maintenance preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand tools and field instruments.
  • Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office; client uses SAP for work orders).
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage a regional driving schedule.
  • H2S awareness and basic safety training (training can be provided if needed).
  • Candidates with a strong production operations or industrial maintenance background who are willing to learn the compliance side are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform leak surveys on production equipment (valves, flanges, fittings, seals, etc.) using a handheld gas analyzer.
  • Calibrate the analyzer daily and maintain required certifications.
  • Repair leaking components when possible and generate work requests for repairs that cannot be completed in the field.
  • Maintain accurate records of all monitoring activities and repairs.
  • Conduct emissions testing on engines and compressors and complete required compliance reporting.
  • Coordinate with contract LDAR technicians working in the same area.
  • Assist with routine production operations and maintenance activities as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment.
