About The Position

As an LDAR Field Technician at Onterris, you will inspect facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry to identify and quantify hydrocarbon gas leaks and vents. You will use detection and measurement technologies under the supervision of a Team Lead, collect and record emissions data, and prepare field reports. The compensation range is $19–$21 per hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Requirements

• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry; experience with natural gas processing or transmission facilities is preferred.
• Effective computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office, and proficiency with Android OS.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to walk and/or stand while handling or carrying technical equipment for extended periods.
• Comfort working occasionally at heights in a safe manner.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Comfort working outside in all-weather elements.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

• An associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or an applicable technical degree or diploma.
• Related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, instrumentation, or stack emission testing, or a mechanical background.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and navigating to facilities using maps and GPS.
• Help calibrate and maintain equipment.
• Use detection and measurement technologies under the supervision of the Team Lead.
• Collect and record emission data.
• Prepare field reports as required.
