About The Position

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) will provide a range of services to support veterans, including primary care, mental health services, and preventive care. The clinic is dedicated to offering comprehensive and accessible healthcare solutions, focusing on personalized care and treatment for various health conditions. In addition to general medical care, the role prioritizes the unique needs of veterans by providing specialized programs and resources to address their physical and mental health challenges.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong phone etiquette, typing, filing, and customer service skills.
  • Able to interpret and apply instructions, guidelines, and policies, including gathering, organizing, and compiling factual material.
  • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited school of social work.
  • Full, unrestricted LCSW license to practice in the State of California.
  • Minimum of twelve continuous months of experience providing mental health services, working with Veterans, Veterans issues, and coordinating with the VA for Veteran Care.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with all employees.
  • Develop treatment plans by assessing the client's willingness to accept different types of assistance and making ongoing decisions about services and referrals using available resources.
  • Provide clinical services including assessment, referral, case management, and psychoeducation for individuals and groups.
  • Offer individual, family, and group psychotherapy for serious medical and mental health issues.
  • Refer clients to other agencies, community resources, or governmental services as needed.
  • Employ methods and techniques to establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship that will help the client work towards the best way of dealing with his/her problems.
  • Evaluate goal progress, follow up on referrals, adjust treatment plans as needed, monitor client progress, keep detailed case documentation, ensure expert diagnosis and treatment, and exercise discretion in modifying treatment.
  • Explain client's treatment and progress towards goals to third parties with jurisdiction.
  • Provide intensive mental health social work services, requiring mature judgment and a broad range of skills.
  • Handle serious and complex cases, assuming full professional responsibility for diverse psychosocial and environmental issues.
  • Apply specialized therapeutic techniques to improve individuals' quality of life and impact agency programs.
