About The Position

Ascendant New York is a free-standing detox, inpatient, and outpatient facility located in Midtown Manhattan. Ascendant New York is looking for a full-time LCSW to be the designated Clinical Supervisor for our Outpatient programs, which include Outpatient Day Rehabilitation (PHP), IOP and Outpatient. We are seeking a Clinical Supervisor to provide leadership and oversight for our Outpatient clinical team. The Clinical Supervisor will ensure high-quality care through supervision, training, and adherence to ethical and professional standards. This role combines direct supervision with program development and occasional clinical work.

Requirements

Master’s degree in social work field required.
Current clinical license in NY.
LCSW required
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health treatment.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment models (CBT, MI, DBT, trauma-informed care, etc.).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Approved supervisor status (or ability to obtain) preferred.
Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
SUD: 3 years (Preferred)
Supervisory: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification: LCSW (Required)

Responsibilities

Provide weekly clinical supervision to licensed and pre-licensed staff, case managers, and interns.
Oversee and monitor clinical documentation for compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Support staff development through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
Ensure evidence-based practices are integrated into programming.
Assist with program development, curriculum planning, and outcome evaluation.
Collaborate with leadership on policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
Provide crisis consultation and clinical guidance as needed.
Maintain a small caseload of clients and/or facilitate groups as appropriate.
