About The Position

Owens Corning, global in scope - human in scale. We’re an international company, with solid roots in North Platte and we’ve got opportunities for a few dynamic people to join our local team. This role is located at 1120 Industrial Ave, North Platte, NE, and operates on the 2nd shift from 5:00pm-3:30am, Monday - Thursday. The hourly pay rate range for this position is 22.00 + shift differential and benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to North Platte and may not be applicable to other locations.

Requirements

Must be able to read and interpret production tickets.
Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills.
Must have product knowledge and computer skills.
Must have good attendance and safety records.
Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities.
Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight
Lift 50 pounds
Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 60-pounds)
Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable

Responsibilities

Verify materials being used is correct by reading the bill of materials
Ensure materials meet quality expectations
Palletize, wrap, and label units as needed
Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units
Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Verifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOP
Repeats tasks until entire door stack is complete
Cleans up work area when shift ends
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
