About The Position

Owens Corning, global in scope - human in scale. We’re an international company, with solid roots in North Platte and we’ve got opportunities for a few dynamic people to join our local team. This position involves transferring doors from a transfer cart into a press, applying appropriate pressure, and making adjustments to meet quality expectations. The role also includes applying correct air pressure for different door types and transferring doors to a drying room cart. The work environment requires standing for 10-12 hours, performing repetitive movements, and withstanding exposure to temperature extremes and potentially uncomfortable noise levels. Requirements

• Must be familiar with machinery and have good math and measurement skills.
• Must have knowledge of proper door sizes, as well as what a reject door looks like.
• Must read and write English.
• Must have good attendance and safety records.
• Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• This position requires high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Transfer doors from transfer cart into press and apply the appropriate pressure.
• Make adjustments to the stiles, rails or skins in order to meet quality expectations.
• Apply correct air pressure for hollow or solid core doors
• Transfer doors from press to drying room transfer cart.
