About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for material management activities for a project or jobsite. You will ensure conformance to corporate policies including the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control, physical security, and issue of materials and equipment. You will monitor employee utilization, work hours, and staffing. Your efforts will help ensure accurate, efficient, and timely material management.

Requirements

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse and materials management processes, including receiving, inspection, storage, inventory control, and issuance of materials and equipment.
  • Familiarity with material tracking systems (e.g., MRR, delivery tracking tools, or equivalent systems).
  • Experience with warehouse and laydown operations, including outdoor storage strategies, material protection, and layout planning
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and reporting tools (e.g., SiteSense, DSCS, or equivalent supply chain systems) to ensure data accuracy and traceability
  • Analytical skills to monitor inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and drive corrective actions

Nice To Haves

  • Field experience in materials management or warehouse/laydown operations on EPC or large industrial construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience supervising teams and managing field operations, including workforce productivity and safety compliance
  • Experience with inventory management systems and material control processes (e.g., Min/Max, receipt-to-issue flow).
  • Experience with material control systems and digital tracking tools (e.g., SiteSense, inventory databases, reporting dashboards)
  • Experience working on large-scale projects with high-volume material handling and multi-contractor interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for material management activities for project temporary operating and jobsite locations on a medium sized project
  • Identifies the need and completing the action for all UOS&D material and equipment received at project temporary operating and jobsite locations
  • Initiates actions to identify and dispose of material and equipment declared excess to project needs by project management
  • Prepares recommendations for facilities and equipment necessary to provide for professional material management operations at project temporary and jobsite locations, as specifically directed by the Project Field Procurement Manager – this activity begins as early as practical in the planning stages and continues throughout the project
